Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
(W.H.M.I.S.)
This four hour course is designed to give the student a working understanding of WHMIS and its application to the workplace.
This course will include the following items:
- Review of the WHMIS legislation
- Introduction to the WHMIS labeling system
- Three basic components of WHMIS
- Supplier and Workplace labels
- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Employee Training Requirements
- Criteria for Classifications
- Identification of Hazard Symbols
TRANSPORATION OF DANGEROUS GOODS
(T.D.G.)
This four hour course is designed for individuals who are involved with the handling and Transporation of Dangerous Goods.
This course will cover:
- Review of TDG Regulations
- Proper use of Placards
- Dangerous Occurrence reporting
- Classification of Dangerous Goods
- Documentation
